Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using Hassabe ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Hassabe Inc. ("Hassabe," "we," "us") reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-app notification. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Eligibility

• You must be at least 18 years old to use Hassabe
• You must provide truthful, accurate information in your profile and questionnaires
• You may only create one account per person
• You must not be currently prohibited from using the Service under applicable law

3. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us immediately at admin@hassabe.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms, provide false information, or engage in behavior that harms other users or the platform.

4. The Matching Process

Hassabe uses a two-round questionnaire system combined with AI-powered analysis to identify compatible matches. By using the Service, you understand and agree that:

• Matching is based on compatibility algorithms and AI analysis — we do not guarantee any specific outcome, relationship, or number of matches
• Your questionnaire responses are processed by AI (OpenAI) to generate compatibility scores and summaries
• Match results reflect algorithmic analysis, not human judgment or endorsement
• Hassabe does not perform background checks on users
• You are solely responsible for your interactions with other users, both on and off the platform

5. Payments and Refunds

• A one-time fee of $49.99 USD is required to unlock a conversation with a confirmed match
• Payment is processed securely by Stripe. Hassabe does not store your credit card details
• Conversation unlock fees are non-refundable once the conversation has been opened, except in cases of technical failure or at Hassabe's sole discretion
• Hassabe Gold subscription fees are billed monthly or annually and can be cancelled at any time — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period

6. User Conduct

When using Hassabe, you agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, abuse, or intimidate any user
• Send vulgar, sexually explicit, or offensive content
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, age, or intentions
• Use the platform for commercial solicitation, spam, or promotion
• Attempt to circumvent the matching system, payment system, or content moderation
• Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract user data
• Share another user's private information outside the platform
• Create multiple accounts or use the Service after having been suspended

7. Conversation Windows

• Once a conversation is unlocked, both users have a 30-day window to communicate
• After 30 days of inactivity, the conversation will automatically close
• Hassabe is not responsible for connections that do not progress within the conversation window

8. Intellectual Property

The Hassabe name, logo, branding (including ሃሳቤ), matching algorithms, questionnaire content, and website design are the property of Hassabe Inc. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without written permission.

By submitting content (profile text, messages, questionnaire answers), you grant Hassabe a limited license to use that content to operate the Service (including AI processing for matching). You retain ownership of your content.

9. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.

10. Safety Disclaimer

Hassabe strives to create a safe environment but cannot guarantee the behavior of any user. We strongly recommend:

• Never share financial information, passwords, or sensitive personal details with matches
• Meet in public places for first in-person meetings
• Tell a friend or family member about planned meetings
• Report any suspicious, abusive, or threatening behavior immediately

Hassabe is not liable for any harm, loss, or damage arising from interactions between users, whether online or offline.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hassabe Inc. and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue, or emotional distress.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

12. Account Termination

• You may delete your account at any time by contacting admin@hassabe.com
• We may suspend or terminate your account for violations of these terms
• Upon deletion, your data will be permanently removed within 30 days (see our Privacy Policy for details)

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with applicable rules, unless prohibited by local law.
